Michal Jezioro is President & Managing Director of DMC Mining Services Ltd. Mr. Jezioro is an accomplished Operations and Strategy Executive with over 15 years of experience in the mining industry and is a seasoned leader with expertise in large-scale and complex international projects.
His career in mining began with KGHM Europe as Regional Director, responsible for sales and operations throughout Central Europe. In 2010, he was promoted to launch KGHM Shanghai Copper Trading in China, with oversight to the entire Asian market and driving growth in the new region. In 2016, Michal was appointed to the Management Board of the KGHM Group as Vice President, and leveraging international experience in this role to oversee the company’s foreign assets, negotiating agreements with foreign subsidiaries and managing M&A transactions. In 2018, he became President and Managing Director of DMC.
Mr. Jezioro holds Master’s Degrees in Management and in German Linguistics from the University of Wroclaw. He is fluent in German, English, Polish and Russian – speaks and understand basic Mandarin.
John Luckock is Chief Operating Officer of DMC Mining Services. Ltd. Mr. Luckock is a senior level professional with over 35 years of experience in business and project management and leads DMC’s North and South American Operations, Raise Bore, Estimating, Proposals, Asset Management and Procurement services.
Prior to joining DMC, John gained increasingly senior roles in the Manufacturing, Transportation, Engineering and Product management fields. In 2011 he joined Tetra Tech and gained extensive experience on both underground and open pit mining projects, serving as General Manager for Tetra Tech’s Canadian Mining Practice. He joined DMC in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer & Project Director. His management abilities are enhanced by a strong background in design engineering, ensuring success of both technical and commercial aspects of the business or project.
Mr. Luckock holds a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering from the University of Miami, and maintains professional membership with the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME), and the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
Rebecca Ng is Chief Financial Officer of DMC Mining Services Ltd. In her role, Ms. Ng oversees all Finance, Accounting, and Financial Planning functions, as well as shared services including IT and Marketing.
Rebecca is an accomplished Finance and Corporate Development Professional with proven success in leading finance, merger and acquisition (M&A) activities and its post integration, and shared services functions in an international setting. She brings 20 years of experience in the mining industry having worked with tier-one mining companies such as Noranda, Falconbridge, Century Global, Xstrata and Glencore. A strategic and collaborative business partner, Ms. Ng provides extensive experience in strategic engagement with various stakeholders, including international business partners, investment communities, governments and local communities.
Ms. Ng holds a Hon degree in Finance from York University and earned her CA designation. She maintains professional membership with the Chartered Professional Association (CPA). She was also honored with WXN’s Winner of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards in 2013.
Joan Beck is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of DMC Mining Services Ltd. As a member of DMC’s management team, Joan provides strategic legal advice on a company-wide basis including all aspects of mining services, financing, litigation management, regulatory, general corporate and commercial and employment law.
An accomplished business lawyer with over 20 years of experience in private practice and in-house, Joan’s career began as an associate at a leading New York law firm. She worked as a securities law partner at two leading Toronto law firms advising publicly-traded companies on mergers and acquisitions, financings, regulatory matters and general corporate and commercial matters, with an emphasis on the mining industry.
Ms. Beck holds a B.Sc. (Honours) from Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Laws from Queen’s University Law School, and a Masters of Laws (LLM) from New York University. She is called to the Ontario Bar and qualified to practice in New York.
Rob Mundy is Vice President, Raise Boring at DMC, and is responsible for all our Raise Mining services throughout all the regions we operate, including operations, safety, major purchases, planning and estimating for all of DMC’s Raise Bore activities.
As one of the original and longest-standing employees, Rob brings over 35 years’ experience to the role, and manages DMC’s fleet as well as project delivery for our clients, including raise drill rebuilds and upgraded computerizing drill rod and cutter inventories. Projects have included raise boring in Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Turkey and North America.
Mr. Mundy holds a BSc. Mining Engineering from Queen’s University.
Mateusz Jakubowski is the Director, Engineering at DMC. Mr. Jakubowski oversees the Engineering function to ensure delivery of DMC’s engineering responsibilities and projects according to schedule and budget, and supports client engagements with technical leadership and expertise.
Mateusz is an experienced mining engineer with broad exposure on both underground and open pit mining projects. He has worked as a Senior Technical Services Advisor and as Head of Mining Unit, Foreign Assets for KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., overseeing both operations and projects across Canada, USA and Chile. He brings to the role over 10 years’ experience in the mining industry.
Mr. Jakubowski holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining & Civil Engineering, a Master of Applied Science in Mining Engineering & Geology and a Ph.D. in Mining Engineering & Geology from Wroclaw University.
Nate Thompson is the Director of HSEC at DMC and oversees and supports the business in achieving our Health, Safety, Environmental, and Community (HSEC) goals and maintaining regulatory compliance in all the regions we operate.
With over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, Nate has worked for several top-tier mining companies including Teck, Rio Tinto and Newmont prior to joining DMC. His international experience includes projects throughout USA and Canada, as well as Peru and Australia. He brings to his role significant underground and surface mining and construction experience, and was awarded the Rio Tinto CEO Safety Award for Best Project in 2013.
Mr. Thompson holds a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, and maintains his Certified Mine Safety Professional (CMSP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Registered Environmental Manager (REM) designations. He is also a member of the SME (Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration) and BCSP (Board of Certified Safety Professionals).
Vanessa Colacci is the Director of Human Resources and leads the global Human Resources function at DMC. This team develops organizational solutions to support DMC’s overall business objectives and success, overseeing talent management and acquisition, workforce planning, organizational development, employee relations and strategic compensation.
With over 10 years’ experience in HR, Vanessa has extensive experience in Mining and Professional services industries, building high performance teams, supporting growth and driving transformation across diverse business groups and within the HR function. She joined DMC in 2014 as HR Business Partner and was promoted to HR Director in 2019.
Ms. Colacci earned a Bachelor of Arts from York University and Graduate Certificate in Human Resources from Seneca College. She maintains her Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designations. She is also a member of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) and Engineering Human Resources Association (EHRA).
